Reach The Final Post

Been really busy these last few days, so this last post is coming much later than it should have. However, I'm grateful for the opportunity to share in this way. It helps to remember, not just how amazing this trip was, but the valuable life lessons I have learnt. We serve a God who constantly reaches out to us in love, and the greatest way we show our appreciation, is to reach out to one another with the same love. In a world and a time where the focus is on me, myself and I, it is my hope that we will see the value and necessity to look beyond ourselves and love each other the best way can.

Reach Day 3 - God Reaching out to Us

Day three's focus was on God's reaching out to us. The scripture of focus was John 13: 1-17, the story of Jesus washing His disciples' feet. It speaks to the way in which God serves us. Despite His authority, and our disregard of same, He constantly reaches out to us. Showing us through the example of Christ, how we should reach out to each other. We were challenged to put pride, resentment and selfish ambition aside, and attend to the needs of those who want the same things we do: to be cared for, to be loved, to be valued...
