#TBT New York!

So for this throwback post it's another destination post. This was a few summers back walking the streets of Manhattan! There was a lot to see and came across some interesting persons, could have spent the whole day walking. It's one of those places that amaze for so many reasons and look forward to my next trip....wah yuh seh Shuzie?!

#TBT Dubai Edition

So.......I've decided to get in on this hashtag tee bee tee thing. The plan is to give you a taste of something from back in the day or just things that bring back fond memories on a Thursday (hopefully every other Thursday if time permits). This week we start with an amazing summer experience I had last year......Dubai!!!! An amazing, beautiful, culture-rich place. The mix of pioneering technology and architecture; historical villages and buildings; and religious customs and practices was something to behold. From being on top of the world, quite literally, in the Burj Khalifa tower to dune bashing in the deserts, there was not a moment I didn't enjoy. I have only two regrets from that trip: not spending more time and not taking more photos!!! It was an eye opening experience. The bible talks about God  being able to use the simple things to confound the wise - this Economic/Tourist power house is lead not by men with PhD's, but fishermen with vision, strong beliefs and moral grounding who wanted better for their families. Maybe we westerners could learn a thing or two.
